AI Independence — practical digital sovereignty, no hype.

What This Site Is#

AI Independence is a practical guide to reclaiming your digital sovereignty: running AI on your own hardware, shrinking your surveillance footprint, and building a digital life that doesn’t depend on the goodwill of corporations that profit from your data.

We cover four main areas:

  • Privacy — de-Googling, hardened browsers, encrypted communications, and the everyday habits that keep your data yours
  • Surveillance countermeasures — facial recognition, behavioral tracking, and the tracking infrastructure you walk past every day
  • Local AI — running capable AI models on your own hardware, with zero data sharing
  • Anonymous computing — pseudonymous business, private payments, and operational security for people who need them

What We Are Not#

  • We’re not selling a course, a mastermind, or a “system”
  • We don’t collect your email to read the guides — the Escape Kit downloads without a sign-up
  • We don’t run analytics or tracking on this site
  • We won’t claim “NSA-proof” anything — security is about layers and trade-offs, not magic words

The Philosophy#

We’re not anti-technology. We’re pro-choice: the choice to use AI without being used by it, to benefit from modern tools without surrendering your privacy as the price of admission.

Every guide here is written to be actionable — real steps, real tools, and honest notes about cost, difficulty, and limitations. When something is hard, we’ll say so. When something is speculative, we’ll say that too.
